Dream Labs offers robot-control software from $3 an hour
Dream Labs announced Dream-1 on October 19. The company offers the robot-control service from $3 an hour and says it can operate unfamiliar two-armed robots with parallel grippers. It also announced $90 million in seed funding. Its Python client is publicly available.

Dream-1 remains a research beta. The company says its performance varies across robots, and it has not validated the model for safety-critical use. Selected demonstrations do not show that the system can work reliably for a full shift.
Watch repeated tests on new robots, including failed attempts and human interventions. An hourly software price does not show what it costs to complete a job.
